This Privacy Policy explains how Cockroach Merchandise (“we”, “us”, the Data Fiduciary) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data, in line with India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”) and the DPDP Rules, 2025. By using this site and providing your data, you consent to this Policy.
1. Personal data we collect
- Identity & contact: name, email address, phone number.
- Delivery: shipping address, PIN code, landmark.
- Order & transaction: items ordered, amount, payment method (e.g. COD), order history.
- Communications: emails/messages you send us and our replies.
- Technical & usage: IP address, device/browser type, and cookies needed to run the cart, checkout and basic analytics.
2. How we collect it
Directly from you (when you order or contact us) and automatically (cookies/log data when you browse).
3. Why we use it (purposes)
To process, fulfil and deliver your orders; to provide customer support and handle returns; to communicate order updates; to prevent fraud and secure the site; to keep records and comply with legal/tax obligations; and, only with your consent, to send offers you opt into.
4. Consent & its withdrawal
Where we rely on consent, it is sought through a clear affirmative action and is free, specific and informed. You may withdraw consent at any time by emailing us, which will not affect processing already done. Withdrawing consent needed to fulfil an order may mean we cannot complete that order.
5. Children’s data
This store is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data of children without verifiable parental/guardian consent, and we do not undertake tracking, behavioural monitoring or targeted advertising directed at children, in line with the DPDP Act.
6. Sharing & disclosure (Data Processors)
We share data only as needed, with: courier/logistics partners (to deliver orders), payment service providers (when online payment is used), and our hosting/IT and communication providers. We require them to protect your data and use it only for the agreed purpose. We may disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights. We do not sell your personal data.
7. Cookies
We use essential cookies for cart and checkout functionality and may use basic analytics cookies. You can control cookies in your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may break checkout.
8. Data retention
We keep your personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by applicable tax/legal rules, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
9. Security & breach
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect your data. In the event of a personal data breach, we will act in accordance with the DPDP Act and Rules, including notifying the Data Protection Board and affected individuals as required.
10. Your rights (Data Principal rights)
Subject to the DPDP Act, you may: access a summary of your data and how it is processed; request correction, completion or updating; request erasure; withdraw consent; nominate another person to exercise your rights; and raise a grievance. To exercise any right, email info@cockroachmerchandise.com with enough detail to identify your records.
11. Grievances & the Data Protection Board
For any privacy concern, contact our Grievance Officer at info@cockroachmerchandise.com. We aim to resolve grievances within the timeline required by law (currently up to 90 days). If unresolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

We may update this Policy from time to time; the version on this page is the current one.
